In order to become a unstoppable high GPA student, you need to develop a growth mindset. having a growth mindset is the biggest factor when it comes to getting high grades in university.

According to researchers Good, Rattan, and Dweck (2008), the distinguishing feature of geniuses is their passion and dedication to their craft, and particularly, the way in which they identify, confront, and take pains to remedy their weaknesses.

What does all these means? Its not what you born with that matters, its your mindset that matters!

 

Learn to be a sponge!

Your brain is like a muscle that gets stronger and works better the more it is exercised.

Many students believe that your brain power is permanent. This lead them think that talent and giftedness are permanent, unchanging personal attributes that automatically bring later success.

What you need remember is that every time you work hard, stretch yourself and learn something new, you brain makes new connections. Over time, this leads you to be smarter and develop advanced skills.

 

Steps to Developing a Growth Mindset

1. Learn, learn, learn

When you are studying, you main focus should be to learn much as you can! Don’t worry about grades. Just focus all your attention learning as much as you can. Remember, you paying thousands of dollars to educate yourself. So focus on learning.

 

2. Action, action, action

Taking massive action is the key to doing well in university. What is taking massive action? taking massive action is about using every free moment you have to action on a task that will further help you learn and get high grades.
– Review your week 2 of lectures notes while you wait for the bus/train
– Googling about a topic you learned about in class

 

3. Facing setbacks

When you get low grade on an exam, don’t get demotivated! Use all your setbacks as ammunition to work harder and harder. If your professor lets you review what mistakes you made in the exam, make sure that you go to these sessions and learn! Man, I cannot emphasize the importance of doing this! Doing this has TREMENDOUS impact on grades. Please do this for me!
